  WALKING

The Walking Group meets meets on the first and third Thursday of the month, meeting in Gilwern car park at 10 am unless otherwise stated on the News page.

Walkers should come appropriately prepared for walking, with suitable footwear, waterproofs, etc, as the weather can change quite quickly on the hills. They are also expected to take reasonable care for their own safety when walking with the group.

Contact Walter Daw by email for further information:  walter.daw1@gmail.com

A fine day's November climb, and almost at the top where, perhaps, the U3A Gilwern flag should have been planted!

Photograph taken on a recent walk by Hilary Lipscombe, really illustrating how important the flowers of ivy are to flying objects, including bees and certain butterflies.

Have you a picture of a Gilwern U3A walk for the web site?  If so please send it to webmaster@gilwernu3a.org.uk with a bit of a story for the readers.
