Members will take it in turns to recommend 3 books, from which the Group will choose one to read and discuss.
The book we are reading in May is: Death at the Sign of the Rook by Kate Atkinson
Group meetings are at Digby’s Café at the Abergavenny Garden Centre.
Group Objectives:
- To read a wide variety of books chosen by members, e.g. fiction, nonfiction, classics, biographies, crime, etc
- To meet once a month to discuss and review the book we have read, facilitated by the member who recommended the book.
- To broaden our appreciation of different styles of writing and different genres of books.
- To organise occasional visits to local literary events in line with members’ interests.
Ability Level:
Anyone interested in reading and discussing books is welcome. Our purpose is to have an enjoyable discussion, sharing views, insights and thoughts about the different books.
