“Nobody needs to stop learning just because they have stopped working.”
Choose Gilwern u3a
When full time work comes to an end and the family has grown, then is a wonderful period of life with time to explore, learn, create and meet with like minded people. It gives an opportunity to develop interests while sharing one's knowledge.
The u3a is for people who want to keep active in mind and body, enjoy socialising, and are no longer in full time employment. There are no entry qualifications, no exams and no prizes; just the satisfaction of keeping mind and body active, and connecting with local people who want to do the same.
u3a Members also benefit from being able to join any of the growing number of Interest Groups which cover a wide variety of subjects. Some members join the u3a just to be able to participate in our friendly Groups led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic leaders.
There is a monthly meeting with a talk on a variety of topics.
